Ecommerce Revenue Calculator

Online revenue comes from three numbers: how many people visit, what share of them order, and what an order is worth. A repeat rate adds returning orders from the same visitor base.

Revenue = visitors × conversion rate × average order value. Revenue per 1,000 visitors makes different traffic sources comparable.

Formulas

The Three Levers.

Revenue

Visitors × Conversion rate × Average order value

Improving any single lever moves revenue proportionally; improving two compounds.

Example: 20,000 × 1.5% × $120 = $36,000 per month.

Revenue per 1,000 visitors

Revenue ÷ Visitors × 1,000

A traffic-neutral measure of how well a store converts the audience it already has.

Example: $36,000 ÷ 20,000 × 1,000 = $1,800.

FAQ

Common Questions.

How is ecommerce revenue calculated from traffic?

Orders equal visitors multiplied by the conversion rate. Revenue equals orders multiplied by average order value. Adding a repeat rate increases total orders from the same visitor base.

What is revenue per 1,000 visitors?

Revenue divided by visitors, multiplied by 1,000. It is a stable way to compare traffic quality across channels and time periods without being distorted by traffic volume.

Does this calculate customer acquisition cost or ROAS?

No. Acquisition cost, return on ad spend and lifetime value depend on your own marketing spend and retention data. This tool models revenue only and does not assume any spend figures.

Is average order value the same as product price?

Only if customers buy exactly one item. Average order value includes multi-item orders, bundles and shipping charges where you count them as revenue.
